NEW YMCA FALL SWIMMING SESSIONS

If swimming is your go-to workout in the summer, let it also be your go-to workout in the fall. The Virginia Beach YMCA will be opening registration from August 15-22,  for new and improved, fall swimming sessions for people of all ages. new and improved, fall swimming sessions for people of all ages.

Registration must be completed at the YMCA office, and each class only has 15 slots so make sure to register soon! Registration fees for members is $20 per child, and $25 per adult; nonmembers is $30 per child, and $35 per adult.

Cash refunds for registration fees will not be given. Those who register, but then cancel, must contact Mrs. Butcher immediately following cancellation for a credit memo to be issued for the exact amount of the registration fee.

The swim sessions begin August 25, and run through November 30. Each session is held twice a week, but remember to check the schedule beforehand because days and times are different for each age group. There are five age groups and there is one class per age group.

The schedule for each swim session is as follows:

·         Mondays and Wednesdays- Tiny Tots group (ages 1-3), from 1-2 p.m.

·         Mondays and Wednesdays- Kindergarten group (ages 4-6), from 2-3 p.m.

·         Mondays and Wednesdays- Elementary group (ages 6-9), from 3:30-4:40 p.m.

·         Mondays and Fridays- Youth/ Pre-teen group (ages 10-13), from 4:30- 5:30 p.m.

·         Mondays and Wednesdays- Teens (ages 14-17), from 5:30- 6:30 p.m.

·         Mondays and Tuesdays OR Saturdays- Adults (ages 18 and older), Monday/Tuesday from 7-8 p.m.; Sat. from 1-3p.m.
At the YMCA, we understand that once it gets colder out, it can sometimes be harder to get out of the house to workout. With our new and improved fall swim sessions, we hope it won’t be as hard to get out of the house to participate in a program that will build a healthy body, mind and spirit.
