Live Event Report of Regent University's Thursday Night Unchapel Service

Regent University’s Unchapel Experience: On Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at 8 p.m., Regent University held their weekly unchapel service. The service is open to all students, and students are allowed to bring up to two guests, as long as their guests bring some form of identification with them. Students, who want dinner, will arrive at 7:30 p.m. The food is sponsored by someone every week; one week might be a church; another week might be Regent’s Student Alumni Association. However, there seemed to be no sponsor for this week’s dinner of pizza from Domino’s. After the students fill their stomachs and mingle with friends, everyone heads into the chapel. The service starts with a few students sharing annoucements of various events happening around campus. This week, Regent students Kayla Phaneuf, and Luke Parker shared announcements. Next, student workers Ashli Hill and Bryan Smith, two representatives from Regent’s Career Services, spoke about upcoming career-related opportunities...

PICTURES ARE STORIES THAT DON'T NEED TO BE TOLD BY WORDS

Photojournalism Assignment Photo Description #1- When walking around the craziness of a huge city, sometimes it is beneficial to stop and look up because then you’ll capture an image such as this one in a fresh and new way. This image was taken while walking around and exploring the beautiful city of Boston, Massachusetts. Photo Description #2- They say a dog is a man’s best friend. Well, this image captures that friendship. The boy is my younger brother Joshua, who at the time of the picture was 12 or 13 (he is now 15). The dog next to my brother is our family dog, and her name is Marcie. I had him pose with my dog for a photography assignment, but I did not pose how both seem to be looking in the same direction. It shows the bond between boy and dog and it is a beautiful thing to capture. Photo Description #3- This was taken on a farm at a pumpkin patch. The day was a breezy one (hence the hair in Megan’s face). The beautiful girl is my younger sister Megan who was 14 ...
